The whole school celebrated Christmas in St. Peter's Church at the end of term. They sang traditional carols to the audience on the theme of a traditional Christmas celebration. Children recited the Christmas story in their own words, supported by poetry and musicians.
The Christmas story was rewritten by Ivy Zheng from Year 6 and a winter poem was written by pupils in Year 5.
The choir sang angelically with their two part version of Candlelight, Silent Night.
The children energised the story by singing the carols clearly, vivaciously and with strength, and uplifting the congregation with the collective carols, creating a strong sense of community within the school and the village.
The collection held at the end of the both concerts raised a total of £341.75 which has been donated to The South West MS Centre which provides a range of therapy treatments, guidance and support for people suffering from not only MS but a range of debilitating illness including cancer & strokes.
