Following the visit from Dr Rowbury, the Reception class role play area has been transformed into a Doctors surgery.
‘Patients’ have phoned the surgery to make an appointment. The ‘Doctors’ and ‘Nurses’ have checked heart rates, bandaged arms and counted out pills into bottles.
In the outside area the children have been exploring how to make ‘medicines’ by syringing different coloured water into bottles.
This week the children were very excited to learn about the bones in the body. They have looked at x rays to help them identify some of the bones and Louie talked about what happened to him when he broke his leg in the half term holiday.
They have also written ‘bone labels’ and attached them to the skeletons to help the ‘Doctors’ decide which bone is broken.
