Fire Safety talk

Year 2 and Year 5 had a visit from a fire fighter this week where they were given lots of information about their role and how to be safe in a fire.

The children had lots of fun learning how to 'SROP, DROP and ROLL' when your clothes catch on fire and found the practice smoke alarm check very noisy! Special helpers were also asked to come to the front to try on the real clothes fire fighters wear. Despite it being slightly too big (which made it amusing for their class mates), it showed the children how safe their equipment is.

A big thank you from both classes for visiting Shaldon School!
