We are pleased to announce that this year's Head Boy and Head Girl have been elected following close competition from some very worthy candidates. The quality of the speeches was outstanding; they were both thoughtful and thought-provoking.
We decided upon a shortlist, having heard everyone's speech and two male and two female candidates were subsequently interviewed to ensure they understood fully what the role involves - which is all about ambassadorship for the school - our head boy and head girl are real figureheads and role models to the rest of the school - showing off the very best of who we are.
A second vote was held between the finalists who shared their speeches once again.
Grace Stephens was elected as Head Girl with Aili Thomas a very close second - only one vote separating them. Aili will now stand as Deputy Head Girl, supporting Grace.
For the boys, Dominic Slader was elected to Head Boy with Alfie Ray coming in a close second - again, he will take the role of Deputy Head Boy.
We look forward to seeing how well these pupils represent our school in all that they do over the duration of their headships.
Well done to all of the children who prepared and presented speeches. You were all fantastic.
