Outdoor Adventures for Year 2

Year 2 had a great outdoor adventure day this week, where they had the opportunity to take part in a number of exciting activities.

Every child tried their hand at archery where they were aiming at targets, bottles and hanging objects. There were many successful attempts and smiles all round when targets were hit.

Children then had a go at fire lighting and even Bear Grylls would have been proud of some of them. Each group got a fire going so marshmallows could be toasted and thoroughly enjoyed.

There was den making where children had to design a home for a homeless hedgehog and lots of team building activities where children were encouraged to work as a team to be successful. There was fun to be had with plastic guttering and balls and diving through gaps and holes as quickly as they could.

The day ended with pumping rockets high up into the sky. This was an amazing sight and ended the fun packed day perfectly.
