Outdoor Education on the Beach for Years 2 & 3

As part of the outdoor education week running through the school, years 2 and 3 enjoyed a gloriously sunny day on Shaldon beach last week.

The morning started off with a sculpture competition where the children worked together to create mermaids, jellyfish and sandcastle towns... each topped with shells, seaweed and pebbles collected close by.Once returning to the beach after lunch, the children then participated in some sporting relays, including balancing a bucket on the head and a pebble on a racket (embracing the beach resources!)

The day was then finished with an ice cream to say well done for the friendship and teamwork shown throughout the day.

Thank you to all the parents who helped to make it a lovely day for all of the children.
