Sports Day 2017

It was perfect weather for Sports Day and thankfully not the high temperatures of the previous week.  The children turned up looking smart and brimming with enthusiasm.  KS1 had lots of fun doing non-competitive activities i.e. Parachute games, Bouncy Hoppers, Beat the Goalie and more.  Year Six showed great leadership skills and were extremely helpful.

In KS2 things get a little more serious with the children all competing in jumping, running and throwing events.  Louis Cook won four field events which won him the Victor Ladorum trophy at the end of the day and Ashlie Buchanan won a track and four field events to win the Victrix Ladorum.

There were some notable performances on the track with Joe Gale storming around to win the 6 laps, Mia Ratcliff 6 laps,  Albin Irving  the sprint, Oliver Rowbury & Amber Ridgway the 4 laps, Sebastian Mills and Jinnie Rodwell the Three-legged.  Our Early Years and KS1 children were brilliant and really got into the spirit of the day.

The Red Team won the Teamspirit Cup and I am so proud of how much effort all the children put in and the support they gave each other.

The Blue team were the overall winners so special congratulations to them.
