The Carol Singers of Shaldon School

The whole school celebrated Christmas in St. Peter's Church this week. The children sang uplifting and traditional carols to the audience on the theme of a journey around Shaldon village.  This journey took the children to many of the wonderful places in the village, describing each scene in detail and painting a picture of the scene to the audience - the clock tower and village green, the beach and sea beside The Clipper Cafe, our forestry school at The Ness, The Botanical Gardens, the village bakery, Teignbridge House, St. George V playing field and the final destination being that of St. Peter's Church.

The children energised the story by singing the songs and carols clearly, energetically and with strength, creating a strong sense of community within the school and the village.

We are also pleased to announce that £278 was raised for Volunteering in Health from collections.
