On a windy and altogether slightly grey day, the Year 3 and 4's enthusiasm could not be dampened. After arriving at the National Marine Aquarium, the children were split into two groups and assigned a tour guide each.
Each group made their way through the aquarium, visiting each specific section with input from our guides. At each destination, the children's natural inquisitive nature took over and it was apparent that their questioning knew no bounds.
After an informative and awe inspiring tour the children settled down for a quick lunch, before experiencing a hands-on workshop all about our 'Blue Planet'.
The day provided a vast amount of information for the children to take away, and use during our Learning Journey, as well as ideas of inspiration and education that will hopefully be used during our topic day in March.
Finally, a big thank you must go out to all of the children for their attitudes and behaviour during the day. Parent helpers must also receive a big thank you for giving up their own time to support us on the trip.
