Viking Visitor Day

Year 3's Viking visitor day inspired the children and immersed them in all aspects of Viking life from weaponry to personal grooming.

The children had lots of fun whist learning about the infamous Viking shield wall as well as developing an understanding of just how difficult it must have been to be a warrior in a Viking army.

Throughout the day the class learned about the not so well known aspects of the Viking age such as their expansive trade empire and the goods on which it was built.

Finally, the children participated in and listened to a traditional Viking tale about Thor which included some interesting costumes for a couple of the boys!
