Year 6 visit Exeter Synagogue

Yesterday, Year Six spent the morning at Exeter Synagogue, where they learnt about the Jewish faith's traditions.
Stuart Raine spoke about the Torah, showing us the Torahs which are kept in the East facing Ark at the front of the building. These parchment scrolls comprise of the first five books of the Old Testament.
Ryan and Mia acted out the wedding ceremony traditional in the Jewish faith and Song played the horn, which is used in some of the festivals.
The morning was fascinating and informative - a real treat for all of us.
