Year 6 visit Exeter Synagogue

What an interesting and informative visit Year 6 had to Exeter Synagogue this week where they learned more about the Jewish faith and saw at first hand copies of the Torah that they had been learning about in class.

Two children were lucky enough to be chosen to get married - well to act out a traditional Jewish marriage ceremony - they were assured that it was not for real! Bruno and Nancy made a lovely couple supported by best man, Alfie.

Later, Dom surprised us all with his musical wizardry, blowing on a goat's horn to make an amazing, melodic sound. This was linked to one of two festivals we discovered more about: Passover. The other was Hannukah.

The children came back to school stimulated and energised by all their new knowledge and understanding of a different faith tradition.
