Mr Adam Claridge

This is my second year at Shaldon Primary School, having join as the year 6 teacher in September 2018.

During a gap year before university, I worked as a Special Needs Assistant in a specialist Language Unit in a Hampshire junior school. Following this, and between degree courses, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in an inner-city school in Southampton completing my degree and Initial Teacher Training.

I began full-time teaching in Year 3, and have taught across all year groups in key stage 2. In 2015, I moved to a large Hampshire junior school on the edge of the New Forest as Head of Year, where I led five classes until moving to Shaldon.

Outside of school, I am a keen runner having completed my first marathon last year and my first ultra-marathon this year. My wife and I also enjoy discovering some of the beautiful walks around South Devon with our dog Monty.
