Dear Parents and Carers,
Wednesday 25th March: Coronavirus Latest Advice
Late last night the government published social distancing guidance for education and childcare settings.
This is specific guidance to reduce the risk of virus spread for both staff and children in schools. In light of this, we would appreciate your consideration of the following:-
If you are coming to school to collect exercise books or supplies, please try to avoid travel on buses or public transport – this could mean collecting books or resources for any other families who live nearby, if you are making this journey yourself.
If you require support with learning from home, then your first point of contact should be your class teacher via email or you can message them on Class Dojo.
Our office remains open throughout the period of partial closure, and we would recommend emailing first at admin.shaldon@acexcellence.co.uk and then if your query is more urgent, then calling on 01626 873329.
The government is strongly advising people, including education staff, with serious underlying health conditions which put them at very high risk of severe illness from coronavirus (COVID-19), to rigorously follow shielding measures in order to keep themselves safe.
Whilst at home, please ensure children wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds frequently, and are encouraged not to touch their face, while using a tissue or elbow to cough or sneeze and using bins for tissue waste. If children or young people have trouble washing their hands, ensure help is available.
Yours sincerely,
Jenny Stewart
Headteacher
